One Month Review

Woah! One more day, and it is already July ... which means a new book to find and read!

That also means you have one day to participate and discuss, discuss, and discuss some more about Murakami's genius and out-of-this-world work! Just kidding! It would be great to continue discussing until there is nothing left to say. + the characters in End of the World won't be going anywhere, they'll exist forever!

Anyways, I thought this might be a good time to reflect on the logistics and process of this adventure, so please comment on what you think works, and what does not work. Is it feasible to read one book a month, and keep up with television shows and the world news while also living, working and playing? Do tell!

Whoa! I guess this means I'd better get my write-up on "Birdsong" soon eh? I will tell you right now, it will be nowhere near as intelligent as Laine's is :P

Also, G, I sort of don't like the pop-up window for comments, so is it all right if I change it?

Oh yes, please do. Also, since your computer abilities are much more evolved than mine, if you know how to change the size (ie. make them smaller) of the side columns on the main page, that would be cool.

I still think that someone should use their artistic abilities to make a nice banner. Anyone?

I got bored and made a banner. I'll fiddle with the actual layout when I have some more time. Feel free to change the banner if you don't like it haha.

Whoot! Banner!

and you are right this comment format is much more user-friendly.

ps. Happy Early Canada Day everyone!

Whao! Apogogies for being out of the picture lately. I've been reading posts, but have been too slow at reading the book to add any valuable comments, besides my random impressions. Becuase I'm a slow reader, I'd prefer to read 1 book over 2 mths. But I don't wanna hold you back if the rest of you find that too slow. Anyways, keep it up- I'm really enjoying this, even if I don't say much :)

I'm sorry everyone, I've been slacking on the reading due to some things that have cropped up. I should be back in action once September rolls around :D

Haha, I am not gonna lie, but I have not finished July's book yet either. Although, we should already have a discussion going .... or has not a lot of people read the book? Are we reading Sedaris for August, or postponing? What is the consensus?

I think we should postpone Sedaris until september maybe.

I think most of us are falling behind with all of this stuff.
Maybe we should read a book every two months or something to give us more time and not feel rushed (even though a month shouldn't feel rushed)

I dunno though!

Decision Time!

Allright, since we don't have a discussion post up yet for the month of July anyways, we should just postpone the discussion for this month. That means we will read Sedaris for the month of September, which I think is also a lot shorter.

Anyways, that also means everyone should have time to finish "Birdsong" and we will be able to have a whopping discussion with 100% participation. Excellent!

Happy Reading!
